What is Testogel® 16.2 mg/g gel?

Testogel® 16.2 mg/g gel is a treatment for testosterone deficiency (TD) that contains testosterone. It can be prescribed by a doctor when you have:1

How does Testogel® 16.2 mg/g gel work?

Over time, TD affects your body, energy levels, and mental outlook in a negative way.2 This is because your body might be struggling to manage lots of important processes, without enough testosterone to help.

Testogel® 16.2 mg/g gel works by replacing natural testosterone when not enough is produced by the body. Using Testogel® 16.2 mg/g gel every day can raise your testosterone levels back into the normal range and, with continued use, help keep them there.1

What to expect from your treatment

TD affects your whole body in many different ways. This means that different symptoms of TD will take different amounts of time to improve during treatment.

When you start using Testogel® 16.2 mg/g gel, some of your symptoms should improve within a few weeks, but others could take a couple of years to fully improve.3

Stay on your treatment

It’s important to continue your treatment for as long as your doctor tells you to. Although Testogel® helps to control your symptoms, it does not cure your condition. This means that your symptoms may return if you stop applying Testogel® against the advice of your doctor.

Use the Ageing Males’ Symptoms (AMS) scale to regularly review your symptoms.
